The heart of what we do

The Foundation serves as an incubator for pediatricians to take their ideas for improving the health of Tennessee‘s children from concept to reality. The infrastructure of the Foundation makes logistics easy: with grant-writing assistance, accounting, and the opportunity to serve as a fiscal agent if needed. Learn more...

Pediatricians

Are working with us to find solutions to problems they see every day.

Children

Are at the center of our efforts to improve the health of all Tennessee's children.

Families

Are an integral part of our team to improve the health of the whole family.

WHAT We Do

The Tennessee Pediatric Society Foundation works with members of the Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (TNAAP) to implement programs across the state that are in concert with our mission and meet community needs.

All programs funded through the Foundation utilize and employ the expertise and passions of pediatricians. These pediatricians serve as champions in delivering community programs applying strategies to meet and exceed goals and objectives.

HOW We Do What We Do

We bring programs to life! On behalf of pediatric champions, we are currently working with champions on the following program efforts:

  • Project PACT, a tobacco intervention study championed by Dr. Joe Weinberg of Memphis
  • Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) and Coding Education to primary care providers championed by Deanna Bell, MD
Dr. Berman of Plateau Pediatrics in Crossville, TN Dr. Robin Pearson of Rivergate Pediatrics in Goodlettesville, TN Dr. Allen Coffman of Highland Pediatrics in Hixson, TN
